Teaching the Word of God Course Syllabus  

Purpose of this course is for you to get a better understanding of how to study the bible for the purpose of teaching the bible.

In this course you will:

• Understand how to study the bible for teaching
• How to develop an outline and why this is important.
• Ways of doing a presentation
• What to do when questions are asked.
• How to know if those in a class are understanding what is being taught.

My hope upon completion you will:

• Feel confident that we are teaching truth and not just an opinion.
• Be able to develop your own method of teaching.
• Understand the different ways of doing a presentation.
  • Basic teaching presentation, Use of technology in teaching, Using workbooks of teaching
• Being confident on how to bring a group back to the subject of the study.

Requirements for this course to complete:

• Show up for class on time. If you are going to be late or not be able to come to class you will miss out on important information. Make sure you have a course buddy that will help get you caught up
  • If you miss more than two classes without approval you will be dropped from the class.
  • Approval can only be done by text or email so there is a record. I keep all my emails and texts.
  • I need to be contacted before the start of class if you are not going to be there.
• Read your Bible daily.
• Be active in your Church.
• Participate in Class meetings.
• Be ready for the next class with any reading and studying completed.
• Complete all handouts and bookwork.
  • I don’t want one-word answers, please take the time to elaborate.
  • Try to be legible. This is for you to reflect on in the future, will you be able to read it in the future.
• You will have papers to write:
  • Outline for a given book of the bible, with weekly goals of completion.
  • Lead a 30-minute Bible Study
  • Write a review of others Study
  • Indicate of what Books of the Bible you are looking forward to leading a study about.

Upon completion you will receive a certificate of completing this class. Credit toward Your certificate of completion of all courses needed for your ministry offered by Christian Essential Doctrine Training.
